Responsibilities Provide comprehensive personal care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Assist with medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed routines Monitor vital signs and observe health changes, reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare professionals Support residents with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for both caregiver and resident Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, health status updates, and incident reports Uphold residents' rights and dignity at all times while fostering a respectful environment Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning common areas and ensuring a safe living space Qualifications Proven assisted living or long-term care experience with seniors or individuals with disabilities Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications in medication administration or behavioral management are a plus Experience working with individuals with cognitive disabilities or developmental disabilities preferred Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely when needed for client outings or appointments Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and healthcare teams Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers safely Compassionate attitude combined with patience, adaptability, and excellent observational skills Must have a valid drivers license Must transport clients This role is ideal for compassionate caregivers eager to provide exceptional home-based support while building rewarding relationships.
