Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Supervise Living - Direct Care Staff, where you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities. This energetic and compassionate leadership position involves supervising direct care staff, ensuring high-quality support, and fostering a safe, engaging environment for clients. Your expertise will help empower individuals to achieve greater independence while promoting their well-being through personalized care and community integration. Duties Oversee daily operations of the living environment, ensuring compliance with care plans and safety protocols Supervise, train, and support clients in delivering person-centered services tailored to each individual's needs Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and mobility support Facilitate effective communication using skills such as American Sign Language when applicable, ensuring clients' needs are understood and met Collect and document data related to client progress, behavior management strategies, and service delivery for ongoing assessment Support clients in community outings and transportation using standard passenger cars while ensuring safety and engagement Promote positive behavior management techniques to enhance social skills, independence, and overall quality of life for clients Qualifications Experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or developmental disabilities is highly preferred Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices to support client development effectively Proficiency in communication skills including client communication strategies; familiarity with American Sign Language is a plus Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for personal transportation assistance and community outings Prior experience in home & community care settings or social services supporting individuals with cognitive disabilities Certification in first aid and CPR required or obtainable upon hire; valid driver's license required for driving responsibilities Strong caregiving skills with a focus on assisting with ADLs and supporting clients' independence and well-being
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or Equivalent 1 Year Related Experience Valid Driver's License with clean insurable driving record Proof of Liability Insurance Ability to pass all background checks including
NAR, EMR, SEMAR
