Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records Support medication administration following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs Facilitate safe patient transfers using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts Provide companionship and emotional support to residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other neurodevelopmental disorders Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control standards Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities using personal transportation methods Follow care plans meticulously and communicate effectively with team members regarding resident progress or concerns Support residents during emergencies by applying first aid or CPR when necessary and following safety protocols Requirements Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs accurately Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice support practices Ability to assist with ADLs and perform manual handling safely, including heavy lifting when required Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities Strong understanding of resident's rights and confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; ongoing training is encouraged Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members Valid driver's license or reliable transportation for client outings or appointments is advantageous Join us in creating a caring community where every individual receives the respect, dignity, and personalized attention they deserve.
