Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Sitter - PRN to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide attentive supervision and support to patients with varying needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work in diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient safety, excellent observational skills, and experience working with individuals with cognitive or developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor patients closely, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes. Shift Days & Nights available Responsibilities Provide continuous patient observation to ensure safety and prevent falls or injuries. Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Support patients with memory care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and other cognitive disabilities. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition accurately and promptly. Aid in meal preparation and feeding for patients requiring assistance. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems for documenting observations and care activities. Support safe manual handling practices using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Follow first aid protocols and respond appropriately during medical emergencies or crises. Collaborate with nurses, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans. Maintain a clean environment by assisting with basic cleaning tasks related to patient care areas. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Assist in medication administration under supervision when trained and authorized. Support residents' by providing compassionate direct support tailored to individual needs. Experience Candidates should demonstrate prior experience in caregiving roles within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or mental health conditions is highly valued. Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, memory care strategies, and hospice care enhances suitability for this role.

Additional preferred qualifications include:
