Graceful Legacy Hospice in Fredericksburg, VA is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our caring team. Provide direct personal care and support to individuals, including assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) Assist clients with mobility, hygiene, grooming, feeding, and other personal care needs Offer emotional support and companionship to clients and their families Monitor and document changes in client health, behavior, and overall well-being Communicate effectively with hospice care team members, including nurses and social workers Follow individualized care plans and hospice protocols to ensure comfort and dignity Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a safe, clean environment for clientsRequirements:
Prior experience as a DSP, CNA, home health aide, or in a related caregiving role preferred Genuine compassion and empathy for individuals receiving end-of-life care Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow care plans and document observations accurately Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications a plus Ability to pass a background check and meet all applicable state requirementsAbout Us:
