In this vital role, you will provide personalized support and care to residents, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring comfort and dignity. Support residents with mobility needs using equipment like Hoyer lifts or assistive devices to promote safety and independence. Monitor vital signs and observe health changes, reporting any concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors. Administer medications following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition. Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and conversation to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Requirements Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavior management techniques. Certification or training in First Aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Valid driver's license preferred for driving residents or running errands within the community. Experience with EMR systems or other documentation tools is a plus.
