Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team for part-time overnight shifts from 11pm to 7am, two days a week. This vital role involves providing high-quality, personalized care to residents in a supportive environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including those with dementia, developmental disabilities, or requiring assistance with daily activities. Responsibilities Monitor residents' safety and well-being throughout the overnight shift through patient observation and regular checks Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Administer medications following care plans and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Conduct vital signs assessments and monitor health status, reporting any changes promptly to supervising nursing staff Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards Support residents during nighttime routines, including helping with toileting, repositioning, and ensuring their comfort Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, cleaning duties, and resident rights policies Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to patient monitoring or manual handling are a plus Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and resident rights ensures confidentiality and respectful care practices Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper patient transfer methods; physical stamina for long overnight shifts is essential Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in geriatrics enhances your fit for this role Must have transportation Comfortable with bedbound clients Join us in providing compassionate overnight care that truly makes a difference! Pay:
