Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to support their independence and comfort Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status is maintained Support residents with medication administration following prescribed guidelines and safety protocols Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive disabilities through personalized engagement and behavior management strategies Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and prevent injury Prepare nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in dining areas Follow resident's rights policies to ensure respectful treatment and uphold dignity at all times Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, memory care techniques, and geriatrics best practices Hands-on experience with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and safe patient lifting practices Background in home & community care or long-term care environments that involve caregiving for individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Familiarity with group home settings or retirement communities enhances your ability to adapt quickly and provide exceptional support Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in behavior management or Alzheimer's care is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively while maintaining safety standards Join us in delivering compassionate care that enriches lives!
