The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to resident rights and the ability to assist individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role is essential in delivering personalized support and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Support meal preparation and ensure that dietary needs are met. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety standards. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere. Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff. Assist with mobility and transportation within the facility. Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy, dignity, and preferences. Participate in training sessions related to first aid and long-term care best practices. Rotating weekends is a must. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or similar settings is preferred but not required. Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for residents' needs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Basic first aid certification is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in all aspects of care delivery. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
