Your role will be essential in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for clients of all ages and needs. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene. Support patient mobility through manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption while respecting dietary restrictions and preferences. Medication reminders Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning tasks and ensuring infection control standards are met. Provide compassionate emotional support, engage in meaningful communication, and respect residents' rights within their care plans. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or dementia care such as Alzheimer's or memory care. Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and recognize signs of distress or emergencies. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform patient transfer methods safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other manual handling tools. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within healthcare settings. Experience with medication administration, vital signs measurement, CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Familiarity with home health or long-term care environments, including assisted living facilities or nursing homes.
