We provide compassionate support for elderly clients, individuals with disabilities, cancer patients, and those in need of respite care or companionship. Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to deliver personalized care and support to our clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in home health and senior care, with a passion for enhancing quality of life through attentive and respectful assistance. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve by providing essential daily support, ensuring safety, and promoting independence. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings to promote social engagement. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry. Use proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, including the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Document care activities accurately while respecting residents' rights and confidentiality standards. Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement personalized care plans that address specific health conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Skills Proven experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes with a focus on geriatrics or disability support. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to monitor vital signs and recognize changes in condition. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience with medication administration, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures. Familiarity with dementia care, memory care strategies, Alzheimer's care, and hospice support services. Ability to assist with mobility using resident transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and coordination with healthcare providers. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining client dignity. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued.
