Job Description
Do you have experience as a babysitter, nanny, daycare teacher, preschool teacher, church nursery volunteer, or in another childcare role? Are you a retired teacher looking for a smaller, more personal setting? Do you want a full-time position with a flexible schedule that supports families across your community? We are hiring Full-Time Backup Nannies to care for children in their homes throughout the Issaquah area. Every day is different as you support families with reliable, high-quality childcare when they need it most. What You'll Do Provide safe, engaging, in-home care for infants and toddlers, with the greatest need for children under age 2 Plan and lead age-appropriate games, activities, and play based on each child's developmental stage Prepare simple meals and clean up after activities and meals with the children Build positive relationships with children and families Travel to different family homes throughout the service area No driving or transporting children required No housekeeping responsibilities beyond cleaning up after your time with the children Pay and Benefits $20 to $25 per hour Paid training before you begin Nanny activity kit with games and age-appropriate supplies Medical stipend for eligible full-time employees Paid vacation and paid holidays Student loan repayment matching or retirement savings matching for eligible full-time employees Performance bonuses and incentive opportunities Qualifications At least 18 years old Previous childcare experience, paid or unpaid Experience caring for infants is required Reliable transportation Willingness to travel to family homes throughout the Issaquah area Available at least 4 weekdays for 6 to 8 hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM Strong communication skills and dependability Physical Requirements Frequently lift, bend, squat, reach, and push Safely lift up to 35 pounds Get on and off the floor multiple times throughout the day Respond quickly to children's needs and unexpected situations Stay calm and act safely during emergencies Work Environment Active, child-focused environment Indoor and outdoor play, weather permitting Daily cleaning of toys, activities, and meal areas used during your shift Apply today to join a team that values flexibility, professionalism, and making a difference for local families.
