FULL-TIME FAMILY ASSISTANT NEEDED IN MEDINA OUR FAMILY

​ We are learning and growing with two young adventurers​! Friends are family, family is everything, and if you are in our world we hope you are in it forever. Our ​4-year-old (going on 40)​ daughter is a twirling, whirling, glittering, princess.​ Our 2-year-old brings the zippy, nutty, ​e​n​ergy ​into our house. He adores his big sister and tolerates and welcomes dress up especially if it gets him invited to the playroom tea party. We also have an Australian Shepard dog that is a big barking baby but settles once he has greeted every person that comes through the door. Our kiddos attend pre-k and preschool, respectively, and we hope to get them signed up for other fun classes and activities in the Fall!

OUR HOME

We can only hope our kids would say home is where the heart is! This includes practical messes, lots of play, and structure for peace and rest. Our home allows for a come as you are policy. Mom will be in and out throughout the day and hopes to find a working balance of time together while also giving the caregiver autonomy. We are always striving to improve our space to help the kids engage in learning and independent play. We usually have music playing and the windows open!

OUR GOALS

We are so ready to have a caregiver come into our world and join our family during these dynamic and important young years. Our family is looking to find someone for the long haul and we hope this isn't just a job for someone, it is choosing us and our kids to become part of your life. Our goal is to foster our kids' growth and development, instill strong values, and bring loads of fun to their childhood. The biggest goal is to have a caregiver that can elevate our family by being an extra set of hands- more silliness, more patience, more ability to tackle the challenges, and more magic!

OUR FAMILY ASSISTANT

All things good, happy, and what everyone hopes for in a caretaker! For us it is all those obvious traits plus someone who is very experienced. We appreciate someone who is proactive and able to jump right in. When the kiddos are at school we want someone tackling the household list- family errands, oversight of health and safety, family laundry, age-appropriate activities, transportation, outings to parks, classes, playdates, grocery shopping, meal preparation, tidying common areas, pet care and home organization. Our caregiver will ideally be finding projects to improve our organization and routines and enjoys these daily tasks. With the kids our caregiver will be bringing new and imaginative play- engaging in new crafts or activities. Meeting our kids at their level and understanding child behavior and development to bring exceptional childcare every day. Someone who will love our kids like family. Life with kids cannot be taken too seriously, so we value someone who enjoys being silly, lighthearted, and not afraid to dance in the kitchen when the day is calling for a bit of sunshine. We love exploring and letting the kids learn through experience, so finding someone who is up for a bit of mud and mess, and is happy to adventure is the right person for us! We would love to find someone who can occasionally travel with us in the future potentially and do very occasional overnights but this is not a dealbreaker for the right fit. Our family values are important to us and we hope to find someone who can align with us and how we raise our children.

SCHEDULE

35 hours, M-F 11am-6pm.

HOURLY RATE

$39-42 per hour.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

3+ years of recent professional nanny or family assistant experience with similar ages.

References:

Stellar feedback from at least 3 previous long-term employers in a similar role.

Background:

Spotless criminal history and identity verification.

Safety:

CPR & First Aid certified or willing to complete before hire.

Commitment:

Ability to commit to the family's timeline.

Local:

Residence in the Greater Seattle Area.

Payroll:

Comfortable with W2 employment and payroll processing.

Driving:

Valid driver's license, safe and insured vehicle, clean driving record.

Authorization:

Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Communication:

Prompt and professional communication skills.

Enthusiasm:

Genuine love for children and families.

Adaptability:

Ability to thrive in dynamic family environments.

Discretion:

Utmost confidentiality and respect for the privacy of families.

Other:

No smoking or vaping. No accompanying children permitted.
