Join our team as a Backup Caregiver, where you have the freedom to drive to local cases and create your own schedule! In this vital role, you'll deliver high-quality support to individuals across various settings, including home care for children, and acting as companion to the elderly. Your dedication will help clients maintain a busy schedule knowing their loved ones are being cared for while you are enjoying the flexibility of choosing when and where you work. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day. Responsibilities Drive to local client cases, providing timely and reliable caregiving support in diverse environments such as private homes, assisted living facilities, or community settings Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Observe and monitor patients' health status by checking vital signs, recording patient observations, and reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare teams Support residents with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders by implementing individualized care plans and engaging in meaningful activities Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure their needs are met with compassion and professionalism Follow HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times while documenting care activities accurately Requirements Prior experience working in family homes is highly preferred Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or ECE is encouraged. Comfortable driving locally to various client locations; valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential Strong communication skills with the ability to engage empathetically with clients of all ages and abilities Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks including heavy lifting when necessary and prolonged periods of standing or walking Join us today as a Backup Caregiver—where your flexibility meets your passion for making a difference!
