Job Description
About the Role I'm looking for a reliable caregiver who can assist with daily living tasks so I can maintain my independence. I have SMA Type 2 , which means I cannot walk or stand and require support with physical tasks throughout the day. This is a flexible job, but I expect the same professionalism and respect you would give any workplace. You should be someone who shows up on time, communicates clearly, and takes pride in doing things well. I will conduct an interview and provide a full week of training so you feel confident and comfortable with my routines. Responsibilities Safe transfers (bed ↔ wheelchair, wheelchair ↔ toilet/shower chair, etc.) Bathing and personal hygiene support Dressing and grooming Light cooking and meal prep Light cleaning and household tasks Assistance with mobility and positioning Occasional errands or household organization Requirements Responsible, respectful, and dependable Good communication and punctuality Able to lift at least 50 lbs Comfortable performing physical, hands-on care Clean and organized work habits Comfortable with dogs Willing to learn my routines and preferences Experience with caregiving, transfers, or disability support is a plus (but not required if you're willing to learn) Schedule & Pay Flexible hours — we'll work out a schedule that fits both of us Paid through CDWA (Consumer Direct Care Washington) One week of hands-on training provided About Me I'm in grad school and I also work, so I'm always on the go.
