Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Park Hills West CBRF Caregiver, where your compassion and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals living in a Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF), fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where your efforts directly enhance residents' quality of life through attentive caregiving, social interaction, and health monitoring. Whether assisting with daily activities or supporting residents with memory care needs, your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a warm community atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and maintaining accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for all residents Support residents during outings or appointments by driving or coordinating transportation as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to safety protocols such as proper use of Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Collaborate closely with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each resident's needs Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavior management techniques Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining dignity and respect for residents' independence Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and medication administration procedures Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate record keeping and documentation Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members Valid driver's license for transportation duties; experience driving in various conditions preferred Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting using Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility aids safely Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is highly valued Join us in creating a supportive community where every resident feels valued and cared for.
