Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in a variety of settings, including home, assisted living, and community environments. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Support patients during transfers using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and communication with healthcare teams Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities Assist with transportation for medical appointments or community outings using personal or agency-provided transportation methods Follow safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures Requirements Proven experience working as a caregiver or personal assistant in settings such as group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities support, neurodevelopmental disorders, and geriatrics is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely when assisting with transfers or mobility tasks Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation Certification in first aid and CPR is available through employer; additional certifications related to hospice care or home & community care are a plus Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is preferred Join us in providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
