Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and updating care plans accordingly. Support clients with mobility using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to ensure safe movement. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, observations, and progress following HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment to promote overall well-being. Experience Prior experience working in home health care or long-term care settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or dementia including Alzheimer's and memory care. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification is essential. Experience supporting residents in assisted living or nursing home environments is advantageous. Familiarity with care plans, resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, and manual handling procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required and assist with patient transfers using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
