Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Support patients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary plans, ensuring food safety and accommodating special dietary needs. Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment to promote overall well-being. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response procedures including CPR and first aid. Familiarity with care plans, resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, manual handling, heavy lifting, and patient transfer methods. Experience working with clients requiring memory care or dementia-specific support; familiarity with Alzheimer's care is highly desirable. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families about care needs and progress; excellent client communication skills are essential. Valid certification in CPR and first aid; additional certifications related to home health or hospice care are advantageous. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends; physical ability to perform caregiving duties safely and effectively.
