Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
  • Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships
  • Ensure the rights and dignity of residents are respected and upheld
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents
  • Administer medication as directed by a nurse or healthcare professional
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to transport individuals as needed
  • Must pass a background check
  • Drug Free workplace with pre-employment drug screening
  • Knowledge of resident rights and ability to advocate for individuals' needs
  • Experience or education in social work or related field is preferred
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge or experience working with individuals with autism is a plus This position requires compassion, patience, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
