Position Summary Circles of Peace is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Pretrial Services Specialist to support individuals and victims throughout the pretrial process. This position monitors participants for compliance with court-ordered release conditions, provides timely notifications and support to victims following an arrest or booking, and coordinates services with courts, law enforcement agencies, and community partners. The successful candidate will use a victim-centered, trauma-informed approach while promoting accountability, public safety, and access to community resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Report directly to Circles of Peace and collaborate with staff and administrators to achieve program goals. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective pretrial-service strategies. Monitor pretrial participants for compliance with court orders and conditions of release. Maintain regular contact with participants and document compliance, concerns, and service needs. Make timely, compassionate calls to victims following an offender's arrest or booking. Inform victims of relevant case-status information, available support services, and community resources. Provide education and guidance to victims, participants, community groups, and other stakeholders regarding the pretrial process. Coordinate with courts, law enforcement agencies, victim-service providers, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of pretrial programs focused on victim support and participant compliance. Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential records related to participant monitoring, victim notifications, referrals, and program outcomes. Prepare reports, track program data, and assist with program evaluations. Develop and facilitate trainings, workshops, and presentations for community members and justice-system partners. Stay informed about relevant laws, best practices, research, statistical information, and community resources. Perform other administrative and program-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience combinations: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, public health, or a related field; Associate degree in a related field and at least one year of relevant experience; or High school diploma or equivalent and at least four years of relevant experience in a related field. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of the criminal justice system, pretrial processes, and victim-support services. Ability to communicate with compassion, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity. Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team. Strong documentation, time-management, and follow-through skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills, including speaking and writing, preferred. Additional Requirements Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or extended hours. Ability to travel to multiple locations as needed.
