We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will support Personal Injury Case Managers by coordinating patient care, managing medical records, and facilitating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and social services. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure clients' case development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical coding, social work, and behavioral health within a fast-paced hospital environment. Duties Assist case managers with patient intake processes, including collecting relevant medical information and verifying insurance details Open claims with insurance companies Request police records Schedule appointments and coordinate transportation Support discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare teams, social workers, and community resources to ensure smooth transitions of care Maintain and update accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Contribute to behavioral health and pediatrics case management efforts by facilitating communication and documentation of patient progress Support the review of medical records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with hospital policies and regulations Requirements Prior law firm experience is highly preferred Knowledge of Filevine software preferred Detail oriented Strong organizational skills Excellent customer service skills Proactive attitude Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and medical coding practices preferred Familiarity with social work principles and behavioral health concepts Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
