Serving Lee County's Restorative Justice & Juvenile Diversion Programs This position supports Lee County's Youth Diversion Program by providing individualized, strengths-based case management to youth involved with the juvenile justice system. The role centers on restorative justice principles, family engagement, accountability, and community collaboration to help youth make positive decisions, repair harm, and successfully resolve legal issues. As a Youth Diversion Case Manager, you will conduct assessments, facilitate Neighborhood Accountability Board (NAB) conferences, coordinate Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and guide youth and families through diversion requirements that promote growth, responsibility, and long-term stability. What You Will Do Engage Youth and Families Conduct intake, assessment, and orientation with youth referred to the diversion program. Build rapport with youth and families using empathy, consistency, and trauma-informed communication. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and supportive guidance throughout program participation. Conduct home visits and meet regularly with youth in schools and community locations. Facilitate Restorative Justice Processes Coordinate and facilitate Neighborhood Accountability Board (NAB) conferences with victims, youth, families, and trained community volunteers. Support restorative dialogue that promotes accountability, healing, and constructive resolutions. Prepare and present materials in accordance with program standards and restorative justice practices. Support Youth Progress, Skill-Building, and Accountability Develop individualized service plans based on each youth's needs, strengths, and risk factors. Coordinate participation in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) sessions and Know the Law programming. Help youth build decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Monitor completion of community service, restitution, counseling, treatment, and other diversion requirements. Provide Comprehensive Case Management Make referrals to behavioral health providers, mentoring programs, employment services, family supports, and other community resources. Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians, schools, service providers, and stakeholders. Attend court hearings, case staffings, multidisciplinary meetings, and community workshops as needed. Collaborate with Community Partners Work closely with: Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) State Attorney's Office Law enforcement agencies Schools and youth-serving organizations Victims and families Community volunteers and restorative justice partners Documentation and Compliance Document all contacts, assessments, referrals, and outcomes in accordance with program and funding requirements. Complete detailed progress reports, case notes, and required diversion documentation accurately and timely. Maintain knowledge of juvenile justice standards, confidentiality laws, and evidence-based practices. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree in human services, social sciences, psychology, or a closely related field.

This may include:

An Associate's degree in a related field; or Two years of college-level coursework/training in human services or a related discipline; or Equivalent relevant work experience that substitutes for education on a year-for-year basis.

Two years of experience in social services, case management, or youth-focused support work Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field Experience working with youth in social services, juvenile justice, or restorative justice programs Knowledge of trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Bilingual preferred Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who: Communicates clearly, compassionately, and professionally with youth and families Builds trust and maintains positive relationships with diverse populations Uses restorative justice concepts to support accountability, healing, and growth Is comfortable facilitating group sessions and community-based meetings Stays organized and completes documentation accurately and on time Works collaboratively with stakeholders and community partners Demonstrates patience, resilience, and flexibility when navigating complex situations Fingerprint Screening Requirement This position requires a fingerprint-based background check, as required by law. The screening reviews criminal history and other legally permitted information. Applicants who do not meet the screening requirements will not be eligible for employment.
