We are seeking a BI case manager at a personal injury law firm to join our team! You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive company success. Prior legal experience is a plus. Spanish or Creole speaking a plus. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of personal injury files from intake through settlement or litigation handoff Serve as the main point of contact for clients: give regular case updates, answer questions, and handle concerns with empathy and professionalism Gather and organize case documents, including police/accident reports, medical records and bills, photos, and wage loss documentation Coordinate with medical providers to track treatment status and request records and itemized billing Open and maintain claims with insurance carriers (PIP, bodily injury, UM/UIM, and health insurers), and verify coverage and policy limits Track PIP benefits, payments, and exhaustion, and follow up on outstanding balances Draft correspondence, letters of representation, records requests, and pre-suit demand packages for attorney review Monitor deadlines, statutes of limitations, and case milestones in the case management system Keep case notes, calendars, and file documentation accurate and up to date Help attorneys prepare settlement breakdowns, lien resolution, and case closing Work with the attorneys, paralegals, and intake team to move cases forward efficiently Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a case manager, paralegal, or legal assistant, preferably in personal injury or insurance claims Working knowledge of Florida PIP (No-Fault) law and the claims process is strongly preferred Familiarity with medical records, billing (CPT/ICD codes a plus), and insurance terminology Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload Able to handle confidential information with discretion Client-focused, patient, and calm when working with people who are injured or under stress Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and on a team High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred Bilingual (Creole/Spanish) a plus
