DeWitt Law Firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager to join our growing presuit team. This is an opportunity for a skilled case manager who understands Florida personal injury practice, takes genuine ownership of a caseload, and knows how to move cases forward without waiting to be told what to do. You will work alongside experienced attorneys, case managers, and support staff in a firm that combines aggressive advocacy with exceptional client service. What You Will Do You will manage personal injury cases from the initial intake and investigation through demand, negotiation, and resolution.
Your responsibilities will include:
Serving as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the presuit process Providing regular, meaningful case updates and promptly addressing client questions Monitoring medical treatment and helping clients overcome reasonable treatment obstacles Identifying treatment gaps, coverage issues, liability concerns, and other potential problems before they delay or damage a case Communicating professionally with medical providers, insurance carriers, lienholders, witnesses, and other parties Investigating liability and ensuring that supporting evidence is identified, requested, and preserved Confirming applicable insurance coverage and monitoring policy-limit issues Obtaining and reviewing medical records, bills, accident reports, photographs, insurance documents, and other case materials Maintaining accurate, complete, and well-documented electronic case files Evaluating case progress and identifying the next action needed to move each file toward resolution Preparing cases for demand and ensuring that all necessary records, bills, evidence, and damages information are available Working closely with attorneys and support staff to maximize case value and provide an outstanding client experience Escalating cases that may require litigation, additional investigation, or immediate attorney involvement Meeting established standards for client communication, case progression, documentation, and file quality What We Are Looking For The strongest candidates will have: At least two years of personal injury case-management experience Meaningful experience handling Florida personal injury claims A working understanding of Florida automobile insurance, PIP, bodily injury, UM/UIM, medical treatment, medical billing, liens, and the presuit claims process The ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong judgment and the ability to identify issues before they become emergencies A proactive approach to case management and client service The ability to prioritize deadlines, follow through on commitments, and keep cases moving Comfort working with case-management systems and other legal technology A professional, calm, and empathetic approach when assisting injured clients The ability to work collaboratively while remaining accountable for individual results CasePeer experience is strongly preferred. This position is not intended for someone who simply reacts to incoming calls and completes assigned tasks. We are looking for a case owner—someone who understands what a file needs, develops a plan, follows through, and takes pride in producing excellent results for the client.
