Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Undercarriage / Specialized Worker, with a strong emphasis on supporting disabled civilians and Veterans rated with disabilities. This role is vital in providing specialized assistance, ensuring safety, and facilitating access for individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to social services, working diligently to improve the quality of life for high-risk populations. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing skills in case management, behavioral health, and community outreach. This is a one-day position for September 18, 2026. Responsibilities Assist individuals with disabilities in navigating undercarriage systems or specialized equipment, ensuring safety and accessibility. Provide support and guidance tailored to the needs of disabled civilians and Veterans, including mobility assistance and environmental modifications. Collaborate with social service agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Document client interactions accurately using data entry tools such as Microsoft Office applications; maintain detailed case records. Engage in workforce development initiatives by participating in training sessions related to addiction counseling, behavioral health, and crisis management. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral changes and support high-risk populations effectively. Conduct client communication with empathy and professionalism, ensuring clear understanding of services provided and next steps. Support culturally diverse communities by respecting individual backgrounds and tailoring services accordingly. Manage liability insurance requirements by adhering to safety protocols during all client interactions and equipment handling. Assist in social work activities that promote client independence, resilience, and overall well-being. Experience Prior experience working with individuals from underserved communities or high-risk populations is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people with disabilities or those requiring specialized support services. Proven skills in case management, client communication, crisis intervention, and social services delivery. Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs or workforce development initiatives is advantageous. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting purposes. Experience conducting addiction counseling or behavioral health assessments is a plus. Strong writing skills for report preparation, documentation, and communication purposes.
