Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) seeks a Caseworker to support our Immigrant and Refugee Community Services programs in Sioux City. What You'll Do The Caseworker is responsible for providing supportive services to refugee and immigrant clients including, but not limited to, skill development, case management, advocacy, and resource connection. Caseworkers should know the basics of outcome-based performance measures and be willing to help clients develop goals and facilitate service plans that enable each client to meet their personal goals. Caseworkers will meet with clients in person or via telephone during normal business hours, as well as in the evenings and occasional weekends.
What You'll Need Required:
Bachelor's degree in health and human services + 1 year of full time, related health and human services experience. Will also accept equivalent education and experience, including Associate's degree + 3 years OR a high school diploma/GED + 5 years of related experience. This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.
