Responsibilities Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Performing mental health assessments of referred clients: interviewing clients and significant individuals and collateral contacts. Assessing clients' needs and developing appropriate goals for services. Providing individual and group psychotherapy. Participating in supervision, team meetings and in-service training sessions. Collaboration with other social service agencies, schools, hospitals, courts, probation, corrections, and public mental health organizations to make referrals or obtain case-related information. Collaboration with caseworkers assigned to client or client's family to discuss progress of client and obtain case related information. Maintaining supportive documentation of case file, including written reports, case-notes and other paperwork related to the case within established timeframes. Learning new knowledge through participation in facility sponsored training and supervision.

Work Environment:

This position requires direct contact with clients. CPI and physical intervention techniques with clients are required.

Demonstrates sensitivity to special populations and ability to interface with the community Culturally competent Ability to learn and use crisis prevention and behavioral management techniques that may include restraining clients. Understands trauma-informed practice Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and a part of a high functioning team. Experience and ability to use computers for data entry, communication and report writing
