Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Victim Advocate to provide support and assistance to individuals who have experienced trauma or victimization. As a Victim Advocate, you will play a crucial role in helping victims navigate the legal system, access resources, and begin the healing process. Duties:

• Provide advocacy, information and support to survivors of crime or trauma throughout the Criminal Court process
• Assist victims in accessing necessary resources such as counseling services, legal assistance, and housing
• Accompany victims to court hearings and meetings with prosecutors
• Tracking data and fulfilling grant reporting requiremnts
• Collaborate with community organizations, law enforcement agencies, and social service providers to coordinate services for victims
• Assist with safety planning and develop strategies to minimize risk for victims
• Document all interactions and maintain accurate records of services provided

Skills:

• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in working with Microsoft Office 365
• Great attention to detail of dates and times
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all case related information
• Excellent conflict management and de-escalation skills
