Floating Case Manager FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt, 20 hours/week
Schedule:
Flexible daytime hours, with required availability on Tuesdays 9am-10:30am and Thursdays 9am-11am
Wage:
$20.00 per hour Summary To act as a team leader in overseeing and coordinating the delivery of services to residents in emergency shelter.

Assistant Program Director Education and Skills:
A degree in Human Services or related field preferred. At least 2 years' experience providing direct services in the human services field desired. Ability to work with and advocate for individuals with diverse backgrounds and diverse points of view. Must have demonstrated oral and written communication skills, flexibility in responding to unique situations, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides crisis intervention and emotional support to residents in cooperation with Advocates. 2. Communicates on case load to staff in weekly Case Manager and Staff meetings. 3. Assists with in-take and exit procedures. 4. Provides thorough needs analysis and resource referral for each assigned resident on caseload. 5. Ensures proper reporting to appropriate agencies. 6. Provides basic education regarding the dynamics of domestic violence, the impact on children, and non-violent parenting, etc. 7. Provides transportation to residents. 8. Provides advocacy and follow-up with other agencies and resources as needed. 9. Acts as a liaison between Friendship Home and other agencies by serving on committees and by providing educational information on domestic violence. 10. Ensures recording, maintenance, and review of statistics and records as part of the Agency's Program Evaluation system. 11. Ensures adherence to shelter policies and procedures. 12. Participates in the cleaning and minor maintenance of the shelters. 13. Assists residents in moving to transitional units or to permanent residences as needed. 14. Provides advocacy and support services to former residents as needed and as able. 15. Assists with the training of new staff and volunteers. 16. Assists with special projects and tasks as assigned by the Program Supervisors.
