About the Role The Navigator is a full-time, on-site position based at Cardinal Point Family Justice Center in Yukon, Oklahoma. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, resourceful, collaborative, and passionate about helping individuals and families navigate services during difficult and often complex circumstances. Navigators serve as a first point of caring contact for individuals and families seeking services at Cardinal Point. Working alongside survivors, the Navigator provides centralized intake and navigation, crisis support, information, problem solving, and connections to Cardinal Point's on-site and community partners. Rather than determining what someone needs, Navigators help individuals identify their own needs and priorities, understand the options available to them, and access the services and resources they choose. This role combines direct survivor support, resource navigation, problem solving, and multidisciplinary collaboration in a meaningful and fast-moving environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome individuals and families to Cardinal Point with compassion, professionalism, and respect Provide crisis support by phone and in person as needed Conduct centralized intake and work alongside survivors to explore needs, priorities, and available resources Help survivors navigate services available through Cardinal Point's on-site partners and connect with off-site partner agencies and community resources as appropriate Provide clear information about available services, client rights, confidentiality, grievance procedures, Victims' Rights, and the Victims Compensation Program Help identify and reduce barriers that may make accessing services more difficult Support ease of movement between services and partner agencies Apply creative problem solving to help individuals navigate complex circumstances Maintain strong, professional relationships and communication with Cardinal Point's multidisciplinary partners Accurately document services and client navigation in a timely manner Support client feedback, outcome measurement, and other applicable documentation Help maintain welcoming, clean, safe, and trauma-informed client spaces Support Cardinal Point's commitment to coordinated, survivor-centered services Minimum Qualifications A minimum of an Associate's degree in Crime Victim Survivor Services, or a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field is required. A minimum of one year of professional experience in domestic violence, sexual assault, victim services, advocacy, crisis intervention, case management, or a related field is preferred. Previous professional experience working within a Family Justice Center and/or an OAG-certified or tribal domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking victim services program is strongly preferred Knowledge of community resources that support individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, elder abuse, and child abuse Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to creatively problem-solve, adapt to changing circumstances, and navigate complex or stressful situations with professionalism and care Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships with multidisciplinary partners Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and sound judgment Valid Oklahoma driver's license and current automobile insurance Must successfully pass and maintain a favorable background check Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to work occasional evening and/or weekend hours as needed Why This Role Matters For someone experiencing violence or abuse, finding help can mean navigating multiple systems, agencies, and unfamiliar processes while already facing crisis or trauma. Cardinal Point's regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some evening and/or weekend hours may occasionally be required to support programming, including Monday evening group activities, community events, or other organizational needs.
