Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist/Case Worker to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week, Monday thru Friday starting at 9am and ending at 4:30pm. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. Your responsibilities will include handling multi-line phone systems, coordinating appointments, and supporting clients through various case management processes. Duties Greet and assist clients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and warmth at the front desk Answer incoming calls promptly using multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Maintain accurate client records through filing, data entry, and document proofreading Manage City of Allentown Rental Assist program Assess for low-income programs such as utility assistance and other programs Process applications for energy assistance and income verifications Create/update spreadsheet to Track Allentown Works referrals and other programs available Ensure case files/records are accurately documented and updated. Provide referrals to all community resources and give information about programs currently available. Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Fiscal Officer. Prepare quarterly reports from Social Services department for the Board Meetings. Make copies and other perform clerical duties as requested. Other duties as assigned. Skills Needed Bilingual proficiency to effectively communicate with diverse client populations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Experience answering phones on multi-line systems with proper phone etiquette Attention to detail in proofreading documents and managing client information Personal assistant experience or office experience preferred to support team needs effectively. Pay:
