Housing Specialist Victims' Intervention Program is a non-profit organization that provides services to victims of crimes such as domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and more. We provide a wide range of trauma-informed support services including counseling, court and medical accompaniment, goal planning and more. We are seeking a Housing Specialist to join our team! Our specialist works directly with clients in a state of housing instability as a result of their victimization. VIP housing program aims to empower program participants to achieve their self-defined goals that will support their ability to obtain and maintain housing. These include but are not limited to safety planning, an improved sense of self-worth, self-sufficiency, budgeting, money management and permanent housing in a safe, stable environment. The Housing Specialist is required to meet regularly (no less than monthly) with the program participants to monitor, advocate, and intervene on the formalized plan. They must be able to work a flexible schedule and be flexible to the changing needs of the organization and clients. The Housing Specialist works collaboratively with all VIP staff and must be able to contribute and work well in group settings. The Housing Specialist is a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse as defined by PA Child Protective Services Law. Responsibilities require the exercise of independent judgment and knowledge of overall agency activities.

Duties:

Work directly with clients and their families to provide services. Conduct a face-to-face assessment of client needs. Develop goal plans and safety plans. Coordinate between human service agencies in Wayne County & Pike County. Teach clients how to budget effectively and rebuild their lives.

Requirements:
