Temp Housing Specialist- Section 8 Program Position Summary The Housing Specialist supports the Section 8 Rent Assistance Program by assisting clients, preparing leasing documents, conducting participant briefings, and maintaining relationships with landlords and property managers. Responsibilities
- Conduct briefings for Section 8 participants
- Prepare and process leasing documents
- Assist clients in locating suitable housing
- Maintain relationships with property owners/managers
- Evaluate rental market conditions and availability
- Interpret and apply Section 8 regulations
- Maintain accurate records and confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
- Knowledge of Section 8/Housing Choice Voucher programs preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and with diverse populations
- Experience in housing, property management, real estate, or human services preferred Minimum Requirements
- Combination of education and/or experience totaling four (4) years in a related field
