Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Community Outreach Representative to join our growing team and represent nonprofit organizations at community events and retail locations throughout the Bay Area. In this role, you will engage with members of the public, educate them about important community programs and help generate support for
D.A.R.E AMERICA WHO HAD A BIG REVAMP FOCUSED ON MENTAL HEALTH, YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY WELLNESS.
Duties Represent nonprofit organizations in a professional and positive manner. Represent the organization at public events, fairs, and community meetings with confident public speaking and presentation skills. Engage with the public at retail locations, events and community outreach sites. Conduct face-to-face outreach and fundraising campains. Work toward individual and team performance goals. Collaborate with team members in meetings, training and professional development. Travel to different outreach locations throughout the bay area. Qualifications Positive, energetic and outgoing personality. Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging public presentations and facilitate face-to-face conversations. Comfortable speaking with new people. Working outdoor locations, and monitoring a booth. Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships through effective customer service and client communication strategies. Previous customer service, sales, fundraising, hospitality, or marketing experience is a plus- but not required.
