The UC Irvine Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND) Orange County's only state and federally funded Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and is internationally recognized for its research accomplishments in age-related brain disorders. Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced development coordinator to perform full range of outreach activities, including establishing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, developing and implementing promotional strategies and educational materials to promote awareness within the health care community and the general public. Has a full understanding of industry practices and resolves a wide range of issues and resolves unique and complex issues among others. Responsibilities include comprehensive promotion, outreach and educational activities. Projects are typically complex and require a high degree of expertise. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Leads specialized and relevant community outreach initiatives, collaborating with community partners to facilitate diverse participant enrollment and retention in UCI MIND's research studies, including clinical trials. Executes pointed educational and recruitment strategies to boost referrals from diverse communities. Identify and address recruitment challenges while raising awareness about Alzheimer's disease research. Bachelor's degree in related field such as: Psychology, Neuroscience, Neuroimaging, Public Health, Social Work, or related Health or Social Sciences 1-3 years: At least 2 years of demonstrated community-based research related experience. Developing and leading impactful educational outreach initiatives, including designing and delivering engaging presentations.
