In this role, you will develop and implement outreach programs, foster strong partnerships with community organizations, and serve as a vital link between underserved populations and vital resources. Your leadership will help create impactful strategies that promote healthy behaviors, increase awareness, and build resilient communities. • Raise awareness of domestic violence prevention services through outreach, presentations, and workshops.
• Collaborate with management to evaluate program effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen service delivery.
• Design, implement, and update prevention and intervention programming using current domestic violence awareness information.
• Facilitate 40-hour domestic violence advocacy training and other educational sessions for staff, volunteers, schools, and community organizations.
• Serve as a liaison with school personnel, community partners, and other agencies to expand outreach and strengthen relationships.
• Coordinate agency prevention activities, community engagement projects, and distribution of direct service and promotional materials.
• Support the development department in promoting programs and events.
• Plan and carry out prevention activities in collaboration with direct service staff including providing supervision to up to two Prevention and Outreach Specialists. Record-Keeping and Data Coordination
• Ensure compliance with contracts through accurate documentation of assigned programs.
• Collect evaluations and statistical data for reports and grant tracking.
• Track prevention-related programs and activities in Apricot.
• Maintain training curricula and related program materials. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong time management, professionalism, and oral and written communication skills.
• Proven experience facilitating trainings for individuals and groups.
• Knowledge of domestic violence prevention issues, public messaging, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to develop and implement educational curriculum for a variety of audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Apricot, Zoom, and other required technology.
• Ability to assess and respond to client needs appropriately.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, schools, and community partners. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or two to three years of related experience in non-profit and/or training.
• Two to three years of experience in human services or non-profit.
• CPR certification.
• 40-hour domestic violence advocacy certification. (Can be obtained within the first 30 days of hire).
• Valid driver's license.
