3 Miami, FL Job Details Full-time 6 hours ago Qualifications Research High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Community Outreach VISTA will help expand Treasure Coast Food Bank's impact by increasing community engagement, strengthening partner relationships, recruiting volunteers, and supporting neighbor-facing programs. This position focuses on building organizational capacity through volunteer recruitment and outreach, developing new agency partnerships, promoting workforce development opportunities, and scouting new routes and sites to expand our Market Fresh on the Move mobile grocery program. The VISTA will work closely with community organizations, volunteers, job seekers, and program participants to increase access to food assistance, job training opportunities, and community resources throughout the Treasure Coast region.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences and build positive community relationships.
  • Comfortable speaking with individuals, organizations, and community groups.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic data entry.
  • Experience in volunteer engagement, community outreach, customer service, sales, marketing, or nonprofit work.
  • Experience presenting to groups or conducting community outreach.
Member Duties :
Volunteer Outreach and Recruitment:
  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit new volunteers from local businesses, civic organizations, faith-based groups, schools, and community partners.
Agency Partner Development:
  • Research and identify potential nonprofit, faith-based, and community organizations that could become food distribution partners.
Workforce Development and Job Training Recruitment:
  • Build relationships with referral sources, including social service agencies, schools, workforce organizations, and community groups Market Fresh on the
Move Mobile Grocery Store Support:
  • Research new routes or sites, based on a review of historical program route data
Capacity Building and Administrative Support:
  • Help maintain outreach databases, contact lists, and reporting systems.
