Job Description

HMG Outreach Specialist The Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida is looking for a candidate that has a can-do-attitude, is tenacious, energetic, hardworking, innovative, resourceful, and creative to join its Help Me Grow Team.
Essential Duties and Qualifications:
Working as part of a team to support, facilitate, and sustain program activities for young children (0-8) and their families. Assist with weekly HMG playgroups, including set-up, clean-up, activity preparation, family engagement, and providing developmentally appropriate activities for children and caregivers. Independently plan, coordinate, and facilitate community-based pop-up playgroups and developmental screening events, including site coordination, event preparation, family engagement, screening activities, resource distribution, and required documentation. Assist with Books, Balls, and Blocks events, community fairs, and other HMG outreach activities. Assist with preparing and distributing educational materials, developmental resources, and HMG promotional materials to families and community partners. Support developmental and behavioral screening activities by educating families on the importance of monitoring child development and encouraging routine rescreening. Assist with outreach and follow-up efforts to encourage families to participate in developmental and behavioral screenings and repeat screenings. Accurately document outreach activities, events, screenings, family contacts, and referrals in accordance with program requirements. Help maintain and organize HMG program materials, supplies, screening resources, and event materials. Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, childcare providers, community organizations, healthcare providers, and other community partners. Promote awareness of Help Me Grow services and assist families in connecting with appropriate community resources and supports. Maintain confidentiality and follow all Help Me Grow and agency policies, procedures, and program standards. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities as requested. Working in different environments (both office-based and on the ground), at times best suited to the community (including some evenings and weekends). Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Program Manager.
AS, AA, BA
in education, social services, or related field with one year experience, strongly preferred. Experience keeping records to show the impact of activities. Prefer candidates to have knowledge of early childhood development and have the skills to plan, deliver, and evaluate play and learn sessions, which will enhance children's learning and development, identify children who need additional support, and refer these children to partners within the service area. Education and Experience Required Preferred
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Background Checks Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining satisfactory: Verification of Required Education and/or Credentials Level II Background Check Drug Screen Valid Florida Driver License Valid Automobile Insurance - if applicable Access to Reliable Transportation - if applicable E-Verify High Speed Internet Access that can be maintained daily, with at least 50Mbps when working in a secure home location.
