Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Intern to join our church family. As a Youth Intern, you will support the development and implementation of youth programs, assist with religious teachings, and foster meaningful connections with young members of our community. This role is ideal for someone with a passion and working with teenagers and fostering relationships while making disciples. Assist in planning and executing youth group activities, events, and outreach programs that promote spiritual growth and community involvement Support youth engagement initiatives by facilitating discussions, mentoring sessions, and group activities aligned with Methodist teachings Collaborate with youth director for planning of events, mission trips, youth group, etc. Help coordinate volunteer efforts, manage events, and assist with fundraising activities to sustain youth programs Participate in community service projects, mission trips, and outreach events to strengthen community ties and promote faith-based service Maintain clear communication with youth participants, parents, volunteers, and staff to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment Requirements This is an entry level position, so no experience required. Must have knowledge of Biblical teachings as well as basic understanding of the Methodist church and Wesleyan teachings. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor young people effectively Experience working with middle and high schoolers preferred Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and responsibility Passion for serving others through religious leadership, mission work, or nonprofit faith organizations Must be available Sundays, occasional weekdays as well as some weekend retreats.
