The Florida Institute on Academic Freedom is seeking volunteer Campus Outreach Ambassadors to help expand awareness of the Institute across Florida's colleges and universities. The Institute is an independent research organization focused on academic freedom, self-censorship, and the climate for open inquiry in Florida higher education. Our website provides a confidential, anonymous submission portal where members of campus communities can share experiences, concerns, and information related to academic freedom and campus expression. Campus Outreach Ambassadors will help ensure that students, faculty, staff, and other members of Florida's higher-education community know that this resource—and the Institute more broadly—exists.

Possible activities include:

Sharing Institute materials with students, faculty, staff, and campus organizations Distributing flyers, posters, QR codes, and other outreach materials on or around Florida campuses where permitted Sharing the Institute's website and anonymous submission portal through relevant online communities and networks Identifying campus organizations, faculty groups, publications, and other communities that may be interested in the Institute's work Helping publicize research opportunities, volunteer opportunities, publications, and Institute initiatives Providing feedback on which outreach strategies are effective on different Florida campuses This is a flexible volunteer role. Ambassadors do not need previous research experience and can contribute according to their availability. Who We're Looking For We are especially interested in current students, graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni, and others with connections to Florida colleges and universities. Applicants should be comfortable communicating professionally and should support the Institute's commitment to serious, independent research and the protection of open inquiry.
