Independent Connection is seeking a Case Manager/Independence Specialist in our Salina office! Your day-to-day includes:

1. Meet with consumers (any age, any type of disability) to learn about their needs & goals, help them grow as a self advocate and: Assist consumers in connecting with community partners and resources. Help consumers make a plan and learn new skills. Research a process and work alongside the consumer to navigate it. Share about our services in a meeting or small group. 2. Participate in trainings to build your skills in goal setting strategies, independent living philosophy, self advocacy, and knowledge of available community resources. 3. A Monday-Friday schedule in an office environment, where we use a variety of computer programs and equipment to carry out our work.

Skills that you bring:

A passion and focus for fostering a person's independence and creating a quality experience and work environment. Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized. Creativity to problem solve and initiative to keep moving forward. Education High School Diploma/GED required and at least two years' experience working with people in an office/service setting. Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass background checks.
