Purpose of This Document This document outlines the key tasks, responsibilities, and qualifications for the Outreach & Engagement Coordinator role at Restoration for All, Inc. (REFA). This is a one-year term position, with the possibility of renewal contingent on funding and organizational need. It serves as a reference to guide recruitment, performance, and expectations in alignment with the organization's mission. Position Summary The Outreach & Engagement Coordinator serves as a key point of connection between REFA and the communities it serves, leading community outreach, social media engagement, event support, and administrative coordination. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, cultural competence, organizational skills, and the ability to represent REFA professionally across diverse community settings. Key Responsibilities 1. Community Outreach & Partnerships Attend tabling events, health fairs, community festivals, and other partner-hosted gatherings. Represent Restoration for All, Inc. with professionalism and enthusiasm. Cultivate and maintain relationships with community partners, volunteers, and stakeholders. Engage new communities and populations as directed. 2. Social Media Management Develop and maintain a social media content calendar for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). Create engaging posts, reels, and stories to promote events and organizational news. Monitor and report on social media engagement metrics. Respond to inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner. 3. Merchandise Management Maintain up-to-date inventory of organizational merchandise (e.g., shirts, bags, flyers). Organize and transport materials for outreach and events. Track distribution and reorder supplies as needed. Support item sales or giveaways at events and record associated details. 4. Event Coordination Support Assist with planning, logistics, and materials preparation for in-house and collaborative events. Ensure outreach resources are packed, organized, and available in advance. Support volunteer coordination and help promote events. 5. Website & Digital Support Support routine navigation, updates, and content posting on REFA's website. Coordinate with program staff to ensure outreach and event information remains up to date online. 6. Administrative and Program Support Maintain accurate outreach records (e.g., sign-in sheets, contact logs, impact summaries). Submit monthly summaries detailing outreach and engagement activities. Provide general program and administrative support as needed and assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in public health, communications, social work, or a related field preferred; equivalent lived/community experience considered. Prior experience in community outreach, engagement, or program coordination, ideally with African diaspora, refugee, or immigrant communities. Comfort with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X) and basic content creation. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work some evenings/weekends for events. Cultural competency and the ability to build trust across diverse communities. Term & Compensation This is a full-time, one-year term position. Continuation beyond the term is contingent on funding availability and organizational need. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Working Hours 40 hours per week Pay/Compensation Hourly pay is $20-$25/hour and is commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Payroll is paid according to standard payroll practices, with employees paid twice a month.
