Position Summary The Friend-Family-Neighbor/Community Connector Specialist will provide culturally and linguistically inclusive navigation assistance to families as they learn about the Follow Along Program, enroll, complete developmental questionnaires, provide follow-up services, participate in a monthly virtual community of practice that will be facilitated by MDH and DHS, track and report project activities and progress for program reports and meetings as they relate to supporting FFN Caregivers, actively participate in member and partner meetings, committees, and gatherings, and perform other duties as assigned. In addition, the Friend-Family-Neighbor/Community Connector Specialist will provide technical assistance and mentoring to FFN Childcare Providers and attend conferences, meetings, and training as needed, required, or requested.
Location and Schedule:
This position will support families in the Twin Cities Metro Area . Job duties will be performed within the person's home, community, and office environment. Hours are scheduled based on the needs of service recipients but will typically include Monday-Friday day and evening hours, with occasional weekends required. Access to a vehicle is required for travel, with mileage reimbursement provided. For this position, you will need: An associate's degree in human services, communication, or related field. Two years of work experience supporting families with responsibilities that included planning program activities, coordinating projects, and connecting with community resources. To pass a post-offer background check. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel. To be able to genuinely connect well with families and community members. Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills. Excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with a commitment to ethical and accountable practices. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing community or team needs. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Fully vaccinated. Must be at least 18 years old. Working Hours 40 hours per week Pay/Compensation Hourly pay is $25 -$28/hour and is commensurate based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Payroll is paid according to standard payroll practices, with employees paid twice a month.
