Our client partners with established nonprofit and charitable organizations to bring their missions directly into local communities through live events and face-to-face outreach. We're hiring a Community Engagement & Events Associate to join the Eden Prairie team and help turn public awareness into meaningful action. You'll represent nonprofit campaigns at community events and outreach locations, meet people from across the Twin Cities, communicate the stories behind important causes and help interested individuals become donors and long-term supporters. This position combines events, communications, community engagement, nonprofit outreach, relationship building and fundraising . Paid training is provided, and previous nonprofit experience is not required. What Your Day Looks Like You won't spend eight hours sitting behind a desk or making cold calls. You'll be out interacting with people.
Responsibilities include:
Representing charitable and nonprofit campaigns at live events and outreach locations Creating a welcoming and professional event experience Engaging members of the public in face-to-face conversations Learning nonprofit missions, programs, initiatives and impact stories Communicating campaign information clearly and confidently Asking questions and identifying what resonates with each individual Building rapport and creating genuine connections Increasing awareness for represented organizations Discussing opportunities for individuals to support charitable programs Assisting interested supporters with donor enrollment Maintaining accurate donor and campaign information Working toward individual and team fundraising goals Supporting event setup, campaign materials and promotional presentation Participating in communication, fundraising and leadership training Collaborating with the team to improve event performance and community engagement Who Does Well Here? Not necessarily someone with five years of fundraising experience.
