remote work, meetings, community-based outreach, on the road Contract term Through September 30, 2028 Benefits or contract supports Flexible Schedule Travel Reimbursements Full job description Community Outreach Coordinator We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, and self-motivated Community Outreach Coordinator to build relationships with community organizations, behavioral health providers, employers, training providers, schools, and workforce partners throughout Northwest Oregon. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, networking, and making a positive impact in the community. The primary responsibility is to increase awareness of behavioral health career pathways, Peer Support Specialist and Certified Recovery Mentor training, career coaching, apprenticeships, and work-based learning opportunities available through Northwest Oregon Works and the Catalyst Behavioral Health Program. Responsibilities

• Visit behavioral health organizations, healthcare providers, treatment centers, recovery programs, schools, colleges, workforce agencies, nonprofits, government organizations, and other community partners.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with referral partners, employers, training providers, and community stakeholders.
• Present information about behavioral health career pathways, training opportunities, scholarships, apprenticeships, and workforce development resources.
• Represent Northwest Oregon Works and the Catalyst Behavioral Health Program at job fairs, career fairs, community events, recovery-focused gatherings, schools, and other public venues.
• Distribute brochures, flyers, posters, and other program materials.
• Support outreach through social media, email, virtual meetings, online presentations, and other digital channels.
• Identify prospective participants, employer partners, training sites, referral sources, and work-based learning opportunities.
• Connect interested individuals and organizations with the Northwest Oregon Works team for enrollment and follow-up support.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach contacts, referrals, activities, and follow-up efforts.
• Represent Northwest Oregon Works professionally and positively in the community. Qualifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, confident, and comfortable speaking with individuals, groups, and community professionals.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting outreach and performance goals.
• Comfortable using Zoom, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, social media, and other digital communication tools.
• Reliable transportation, insurance, and a valid driver's license.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout Lincoln, Tillamook, Clatsop, and Columbia Counties.
• Ability to successfully pass required background checks.
• Experience in community outreach, community engagement, public speaking, workforce development, behavioral health, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, or a related field.
• An associate's degree, bachelor's degree, professional certification, or equivalent experience in communications, public health, behavioral health, public relations, addiction studies, human services, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for education. Preferred qualifications
• Lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges, with at least two years of sustained recovery or stability, or experience supporting a family member with similar challenges.
• Certification as a Certified Recovery Mentor, Peer Support Specialist, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Qualified Mental Health Associate, Qualified Mental Health Professional, or a related behavioral health credential.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or fluency in another language commonly spoken in the communities served.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities and implementing accommodations, accessibility strategies, or adaptive solutions.
• Experience with digital outreach, recruitment, community education campaigns, or social media marketing.

$20 - $25

Schedule:

20-25 hours per week Travel reimbursement: Reimbursements for mileage related to the position Work location: Hybrid, on the road (regular travel throughout the four-county service area), and community-based.
