Sponsorship Coordinator - Contract Role Law Offices of Barton Morris Troy, MI Job Details Contract $30 - $40 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Program development Research Prospecting Sales strategy Account management Negotiation Full Job Description Sponsorship Coordinator Independent Contractor | Armed Again Restoration Day Position Overview The Law Offices of Barton Morris is seeking an independent contractor to lead sponsorship and community partnership development for Armed Again Restoration Day , an event focused on firearm rights restoration, education, resources, and community engagement. This individual will be responsible for building the event's sponsorship and partnership program from the ground up, identifying organizations and businesses that align with the event's mission and audience, conducting outreach, securing commitments, and managing sponsor and partner relationships through the event and post-event follow-up. The ideal candidate is an organized, confident communicator who is comfortable developing relationships, making outreach calls, presenting sponsorship opportunities, and following through until commitments are secured. Key Responsibilities Sponsorship Program Development Develop a professional sponsorship proposal/package for Armed Again Restoration Day. Recommend sponsorship levels, pricing, benefits, and recognition opportunities. Identify additional opportunities for in-kind sponsorships, promotional partnerships, vendors, speakers, and community participation. Work with firm leadership to finalize sponsorship offerings and event messaging. Sponsor & Partner Research Develop a targeted list of prospective sponsors and community partners. Research appropriate contacts and decision-makers within each organization. Identify opportunities with firearm-related businesses and organizations, ranges and training facilities, outdoor and sporting organizations, community organizations, reentry and rehabilitation organizations, veterans' groups, legal and professional organizations, local businesses, and other organizations whose audiences align with the event. Outreach & Relationship Development Develop outreach emails, call scripts, follow-up messaging, and other sponsor communications. Personally contact prospective sponsors and partners by phone, email, LinkedIn, and other appropriate channels. Present sponsorship opportunities and explain the value of participating in Armed Again Restoration Day. Conduct consistent follow-up with prospective sponsors until a decision is reached. Coordinate meetings between interested organizations and firm/event leadership when appropriate. Maintain an organized pipeline showing prospects, contacts, outreach activity, follow-up dates, commitments, and sponsorship levels. Sponsor & Partner Management Serve as a primary point of contact for sponsors and partners leading up to the event. Collect logos, advertisements, promotional materials, contact information, payments, and other required materials. Coordinate with the event team to ensure promised sponsorship benefits are fulfilled. Confirm sponsor participation and event-day requirements before the event. Assist with sponsor and partner communication during Armed Again Restoration Day. Post-Event Follow-Up Send sponsor and partner thank-you communications following the event. Provide sponsors with relevant event results, photos, attendance information, or other agreed-upon deliverables. Gather sponsor feedback. Maintain relationships with participating organizations for potential future events and partnerships. Provide the firm with a final sponsorship report summarizing outreach, commitments, revenue, results, and recommendations for future events. Initial Deliverables During the beginning phase of the engagement, the contractor will be expected to produce: A complete Armed Again Restoration Day Sponsorship Proposal Recommended sponsorship levels, pricing, benefits, and opportunities A comprehensive prospective sponsor and partner list , including contact information where available Sponsor outreach email templates and call/talking points A sponsorship outreach and follow-up strategy A tracking system for prospects, outreach, commitments, payments, and deliverables Once these materials are approved, the contractor will transition from development into active outreach and sponsorship acquisition. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: Sponsorship sales or fundraising Business development Community partnerships Event sponsorships Nonprofit development Sales or account management Public relations or community outreach The contractor should be comfortable making outbound calls, communicating professionally with organizational leaders, presenting sponsorship opportunities, negotiating within established parameters, and consistently following up with prospects.

Strong organization and follow-through are essential. Experience developing sponsorship packages or securing event sponsors is strongly preferred. Measures of Success Success in this role will be measured by the contractor's ability to: Build a professional and compelling sponsorship program Develop a strong pipeline of qualified prospective sponsors and partners Consistently conduct and document outreach Secure financial and in-kind sponsorship commitments Establish meaningful community and organizational partnerships Ensure sponsors receive all promised benefits and deliverables Maintain relationships that can support future Armed Again events and other firm initiatives Compensation This independent contractor engagement will include: $2,000 project fee for development and management of the sponsorship and partnership program through the event and post-event follow-up; and 10% commission on sponsorship revenue personally secured by the contractor and actually collected by the firm. Commission will be calculated based on sponsorship payments received by the firm as a direct result of the contractor's outreach and relationship-development efforts. In-kind donations, complimentary services, or other non-cash contributions will not be included in commission calculations unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. Engagement This is an independent contractor position beginning with sponsorship strategy and development and continuing through Armed Again Restoration Day and the post-event follow-up period. The contractor will work closely with Law Offices of Barton Morris leadership and the event team while independently managing day-to-day sponsor research, outreach, follow-up, and relationship management. The goal of this position is not simply to create a list of potential sponsors, but to actively develop relationships and convert qualified prospects into committed sponsors and partners for Armed Again Restoration Day.

Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
