Community Prevention Project Coordinator Sullivan County Anti-Drug Coalition (SCAD) Full-time | 40 hours/week | Starting at $22/hour Sullivan County Anti-Drug Coalition is seeking a Community Prevention Project Coordinator to help implement substance use prevention strategies throughout Sullivan County. This is a community-facing, self-directed position . The person in this role will work closely with the Coalition Director, community partners, schools, youth and young adults, and other organizations to put prevention strategies into action. The right person will be comfortable taking direction while also knowing how to move work forward independently. Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and the ability to build positive working relationships are essential. What You'll Do Work with the Director to implement prevention strategies and meet project objectives. Coordinate activities with schools, community organizations, agencies, and other partners. Develop and deliver presentations, resources, and other content for external partners and community audiences. Communicate information about evidence-based prevention practices through presentations, websites, newsletters, social media, and other appropriate channels. Work with youth and young adults in prevention activities and community engagement. Maintain accurate records and data and track project activities, outputs, outcomes, and deadlines. Assist with grant reporting, work plans, meetings, training, volunteer coordination, and other project-related responsibilities. Build and maintain positive working relationships with diverse community partners. Participate in required training and meetings. Work independently while keeping the Director informed of progress, questions, and challenges.

What We're Looking For Required:

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Marketing, Public Health, Education, Law Enforcement, Law, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, organize work, meet deadlines, and follow through. Ability to accept direction, work collaboratively, and contribute positively to a team. Ability and willingness to work with youth and young adults. Ability to travel within Sullivan County. A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are required. Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required by community activities and events. Strong basic technology skills and ability to work with Google Workspace.

Valued Experience:

Experience working with youth or young adults. Community engagement or community development experience. Experience working with schools, nonprofits, public agencies, or community organizations. Public speaking, presentations, facilitation, or training experience. Marketing, social media, or content development experience. Experience managing projects, data, records, or grant-related activities. Experience with substance use prevention or other evidence-based prevention strategies. Prevention experience is helpful but is not required. We recognize that strong candidates may bring relevant experience from education, public service, community programs, marketing, nonprofit work, or other fields. What to Expect This is not a traditional 8-to-5 office position. Community prevention work sometimes requires evening and weekend activities, meetings, presentations, and events. The position also requires the ability to work independently, communicate regularly with the Director and partners, and adjust priorities as projects develop. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen. Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $22/hour , with consideration of relevant qualifications and experience. Full-time, 40 hours per week. After successful completion of the probationary period, employees are eligible for a stipend that may be used toward either an IRS-related benefit or assistance with HealthCare.gov Marketplace coverage.
