Houston Buzz Communications, a sales and development firm, is expanding its community outreach team in Houston and seeking an Outreach & Engagement Associate to represent nonprofit organizations and support meaningful charitable campaigns. As an Outreach & Engagement Associate, you will engage directly with community members at outreach events, introduce them to important causes, answer questions, and help increase awareness and support for programs serving children, families, and local communities. As an Outreach & Engagement Associate, you will receive hands-on training in community outreach, fundraising, communication, and professional development. You will learn how to communicate nonprofit missions clearly, build genuine connections with potential donors, and represent nonprofit partners with professionalism and integrity. Core Functions of the Outreach & Engagement Associate Connect in person with donors to understand their values and align them with meaningful charitable giving opportunities. Develop donor accounts in person by offering thoughtful guidance that encourages deeper involvement and higher contributions. Build long-term trust with donors through consistent, caring in-person interactions that lead to increased charitable loyalty. Inspire donors during direct engagements by highlighting real stories of impact and inviting generous support. Maintain healthy donor accounts by addressing concerns promptly and facilitating smooth giving experiences. Thrive as an Outreach & Engagement Associate by balancing authentic connection with strong performance in charitable sales. Preferred Skills for the Outreach & Engagement Associate Strong communication and interpersonal skills when speaking with community members face-to-face. Comfortable starting conversations, asking questions, and identifying customer needs. Able to clearly explain nonprofit information to potential donors. Comfortable handling questions and objections in a professional and positive manner. Goal-oriented with the ability to stay focused on individual and team goals.
