In this role, you will be the face of our organization, engaging with community members through face-to-face communication and outdoor canvassing. Your primary mission is to distribute promotional materials and foster community engagement by connecting directly with residents in various neighborhoods. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales, marketing, and community outreach skills while making a tangible impact in local communities. If you thrive in outdoor environments, enjoy lively conversations, and possess excellent communication skills, this is the perfect role for you! This position is open only for those living in or near Bellingham, Washington. Responsibilities Distribute flyers, brochures, and promotional materials door-to-door in assigned neighborhoods or community areas. Engage with residents through friendly, face-to-face conversations to promote events, campaigns, or services. Conduct canvassing activities using mobile devices to record interactions and gather contact information when appropriate. Build rapport with community members by demonstrating excellent communication skills and active listening. Manage outdoor work efficiently by walking through neighborhoods and maintaining a professional appearance at all times. Negotiate and answer questions from residents about the campaign or organization's offerings. Collaborate with team supervisors to ensure coverage of designated areas and meet outreach goals. Experience Supervising experience or leadership roles in community outreach or field sales preferred. Prior experience in marketing, canvassing, or door-to-door sales highly desirable. Strong background in customer service and face-to-face communication strategies. Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions is a plus. Bilingual abilities are advantageous for engaging diverse communities effectively. Demonstrated success in fundraising or community engagement initiatives is beneficial.
